Stop hearing:
"That's not what we agreed."
Create tamper-evident records of project scopes, approvals, and client agreements in under 60 seconds.
Prevent misunderstandings before they become disputes.
Built for freelancers, contractors, agencies, consultants, and any client-facing business.
Not a legal service.
Just a clean, verifiable record of what was agreed.
Every agreement, captured. Every change, recorded.
Each record is a single, tamper-evident page that anyone with the record ID can verify. Participants, timeline, integrity check, downloads, all in one place.
Design representation. Final product may differ.
Most client disputes don't start with bad intentions.
They start with forgotten conversations, unclear approvals, and different interpretations of what was agreed.
- The brief said one thing in January. The client remembers something else in March.
- Revision three was "obviously included". You don't remember agreeing to that.
- The deliverable went over by ten days. Whose decision was that, again?
- The handover meeting "settled" the scope. Nobody wrote it down.
Three small habits, no more disputes.
-
Confirm the scope.
Send your scope through Record of Intent. Your client clicks "I agree". We save the moment, the wording, and who agreed.
-
Log the change request.
Forward any client email to a private address. We save the contents and stamp the time. Optional: ask the client to confirm or deny.
-
Capture the sign-off.
Send the deliverable for approval. Your client clicks "approved" or "needs changes". We save the answer.
The kind of record that stands up.
- A digital fingerprint of every record. Change one word and the fingerprint changes too.
- An independent, trusted timestamp from a third party. Not from us.
- A public page anyone can use to check the record themselves.
We are not a legal service and we do not promise this will be accepted by any specific court or regulator. We give you a record that is hard to fake and kept in a way that is hard to challenge.
Why we built this.
When trust ends, records remain.
Record of Intent was built because the agreements that hold client work together (scopes, changes, sign-offs) live in places that anyone can edit later. Chats can be revised. Emails get archived. Memory drifts. We make the agreements explicit, time-stamped, and impossible to alter once made, so nobody has to argue about what was said.
Used by people who carry responsibility.
Anywhere intent, capacity, and time need to be on the record.

Common questions.
Is this legal evidence?
It's a record-keeping tool, not a legal service. We make records that are hard to fake. Whether any specific court, tribunal, or regulator accepts a record is up to them.
Does my client have to sign up?
No. Your client clicks a link. They never need an account.
What does my client see?
A short page asking them to agree, confirm, or approve. Nothing more.
Where is my data?
In the United Kingdom, on Cloudflare and Supabase infrastructure. The UK has one of the strictest data protection regimes in the world (UK GDPR plus the Data Protection Act 2018, regulated by the Information Commissioner's Office). We're happy to host non-UK customers; UK data residency is a transparency choice, not a restriction. Full detail on the security page.
Can I delete a record?
Records are append-only. You can archive a project so it's no longer active, but the records themselves stay so the trail is intact.
Is it available worldwide?
Yes. The website, the confirmation flow, and the records work from any country. Pricing is in GBP; if your bank converts, the actual cost depends on their rate. The infrastructure is hosted in the United Kingdom, which we disclose for transparency on the security page.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You send your client a link from inside Record of Intent. They click "I agree", "approved", or "needs changes". Nothing to install. Nothing to set up.
What happens to my records if I stop paying?
Records you have already created stay accessible to you through the verify page and can be exported as PDF for at least twelve months after cancellation. UK GDPR gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to request erasure; how we handle erasure requests against append-only records is covered in our privacy policy (DRAFT until solicitor review before public launch).
